Bill Bishop
Vice President, Land
Mr. Bishop joined Meridian in December 2006 as Vice President, Land. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Petroleum Land
Management from the University of Texas in Austin in 1978. Mr. Bishop has over 28 years of professional and managerial oil & gas land experience
across the lower 48 states with both major and independent exploration and production companies. His 28 years of experience include various duties
with Mobil Oil Corporation, Prairie Producing Company and Resource Development Partners.
Dale Breaux
Vice President, Operations
After serving in the U.S. Marine Corp, Mr. Breaux obtained a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of
Louisiana in Lafayette. Mr. Breaux brings nearly 30 years of field and management experience in onshore and offshore drilling operations
at Sun Oil Company, Campbell Energy Corporation, and Petrofina. Mr. Breaux joined The Meridian Resource Exploration LLC in 2002 and
is currently the Vice President of Operations.
Lloyd V. DeLano
Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer
Mr. DeLano joined the Company in January 1992 performing contract work and became an employee of Meridian in October of 1992.Mr. DeLano
was named Vice President-Director of Accounting of TMRX in April of 1993 and in June 1996 was named as Vice President and Chief Accounting
Officer of The Meridian Resorce Corporation. Mr. DeLano received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Abilene Christian
University and is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of oil and natural gas experience. Prior to joining Meridian, Mr.
DeLano held various positions with Huffco Petroleum from 1982 until 1988, when it was sold to Elf Aquitaine, where he served as
Controller for four years.
Steven G. Ives
Vice President, Finance
Mr. Ives joined the Company in November 2001 and in April 2005 was named Vice President - Finance of TMRX. Mr. Ives’ previous positions
with the Company included Manager – Finance and Senior Financial Analyst. Mr. Ives has over 20 years of financial and management experience
with LandCare USA, Inc., Convest Energy Corporation and Sandefer Oil & Gas, Inc. Mr. Ives received his Bachelor of Business Administration
in Finance from Southwest Texas State University in 1986 and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Michael J. Mayell
President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Mayell received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York
in 1968.From 1968 through 1974, Mr. Mayell served in various engineering capacities for Shell Oil Company in New Orleans, Louisiana,
with responsibilities for fields in south Louisiana. In 1974, he joined Kirby Exploration Company in Houston, Texas, serving
first as Chief Engineer and subsequently as Vice President of Production. Mr. Mayell formed his own exploration company in 1982
operating generally in Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. Mr. Mayell joined Mr. Reeves in 1985 to organize Texas Meridian Resources,
Inc., and subsequently The Meridian Resource Corporation.
Alan S. Pennington
Vice President, New Ventures/Business Development
Mr. Pennington joined Meridian in August 1989 as Vice President—Geology of TMRX. Mr. Pennington’s previous experience includes five year
in the oil and gas services business as well as ten years as an exploration geologist for four independent E&P companies. Mr. Pennington
has a total of 24 years in the oil and gas industry.
Joseph A. Reeves, Jr
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Reeves obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Finance from Louisiana State University in 1969 and a Juris Doctorate
Degree from Louisiana State University Law Center in 1972.He actively practiced law in the State of Louisiana from 1972 to 1981.Mr. Reeves
formed an independent oil and gas exploration company, which he operated until 1985 when he co-founded Texas Meridian Resources, Inc.,
with his partner, Mr. Michael J. Mayell. In 1997, the company changed its name to The Meridian Resource Corporation.
Steve Western
Senior Vice President, Exploration
Mr. Western, the Senior Vice President of Exploration; joined Meridian in September of 2007. He has over 30 years of domestic exploration experience. He has held a variety of positions from Global Chief Geophysicist to Exploration Manager for the Northern Gulf of Mexico, with a number of large petroleum companies; which include, ConocoPhillips, Burlington Resources, Vastar, Occidental Oil & Gas, BP Exploration and Standard Oil. Steve received a B.S. in Physics from the University of Texas at Arlington, an M.S. in Geology from Texas Christian University and an M.B.A. from Houston Baptist University.
